It was on tip of the ENGAGE: Moms newsletter from Media Post.
But then, it animated into this one:
which is a sign up for OMMA. Does OMMA NOT KNOW that Walmart owns the happy smiley face? Someone from their agency needs to go shopping and follow a Walmart persona round. Same blue, same smily face.

My daughter graduated from high school this year. The school sent home a "contract" we both had to sign whereby we promised to "behave" ourselves by treating the ceremony with respect and dignity. Then, over the course of the week, they called our house three times, reminding us of our pledge to behave. My daughter tells me that the school wasted no opportunity to remind the students that they also gave their word.
At the ceremony, we were reminded of the dignity of the event and were at times reprimanded when some parents forgot.
Then, the Dayton Daily News publishes this photo in the Sunday paper. Very large, very proud.
It is a good photo, but is a metaphor for how the school systems undermine parental authority, how society undermines school authority and how the newspaper just undermines everyone because the photo is "really cool" and captured the spirit of the event.
Bravo, Dayton Daily News. You have succeeded in undermining everyone and showing our kids what is really important in getting ahead.
- Make it all about you
- Make it more about you
- Make it entirely, irrevocably about you.
